Brand Manchester

We were tasked with bringing Peter Saville’s Original Modern brand for Manchester to life. The challenge was how to roll out a brand with a single signifying marque – a letter M – where the city does not have a brand, it is the brand.

We hosted over a dozen workshops with 400 senior decision makers in the public and private sector, to discuss the profile and positioning of Manchester, and created two books, Manchester Edition and Manchester Forward, setting out the challenges for Manchester in the future. The workshops were an innovative branding solution, creating word of mouth ‘buzz’ and buy-in at the highest level across the city region.
