BBC, British Animation Awards Ad

As sponsors of the British Animation Awards, BBC Children's produce an advert each year. In previous years this has been designed by the likes of Aardman Animations.

This was a great opportunity to produce something fun and a little bit left of centre. We thought a hand-crafted approach would be a happy reference to many of the traditional techniques involved in animation and film. Keeping it simple, we presented various new and iconic BBC Children's characters on and around a child's mobile. We built the mobile and photographed it with some of the key elements in place, then with a bit of Photoshop trickery we brought the characters to life!

Our favourite is Driver Dan the story-telling lion in his denim dungarees!
