Wrexham Solar Power

Filming the rooftops of Wrexham from a cherry picker is not for the faint hearted. That’s what Creative Concern has been up to, as 3,000 homes receive solar panels in one of the biggest fit outs of photovoltaics (Pvs).

The film will be shown to residents to help them understand what is involved in the process and how switching to solar power can reduce electricity bills. The energy created from the panels reduces the need for electricity from the national grid, making savings of hundreds of pounds each year for domestic users.

Wrexham County Borough Council is aiming to reduce its carbon emissions by 50 per cent by 2016. Creative Concern is helping to communicate their key messages to residents and stakeholders. A suite of marketing materials including leaflets, posters and the film have been produced and PR will follow.
