Irish Sea Conservation Zone
The Irish Sea Conservation Zone (ISCZ) is a body which has been established to advise the government on how it should conserve the Irish Sea. Set up in the summer of 2009 the Zone aims to secure a healthy and productive future for the coast and waters of the Irish Sea.
The Zone needed to get its message across to users of the Irish Sea, everyone from recreational users, shipping companies, to oil riggers and renewable energy companies. We planned and delivered a press launch – chartering a boat to take journalists out to a wind farm in the Irish Sea – and compiled a comprehensive media list for the geographic area, which takes in Ireland, Cumbria, Wales, Isle of Man and the Northwest coast as well as specialist media outlets such as environmental and marine interest, trade and leisure publications. An extensive press pack, providing a selection of images and short film, was also supplied to a much wider spread of press.
We secured coverage with Granada Reports, BBC Northwest Tonight, BBC Merseyside, BBC Radio Cumbria, Liverpool Echo, Carlisle News and Star, Isle of Man Today, Blackpool Gazette, Flintshire Evening Leader, Finding Sanctuary, Green Wire, Northwest Business Insider and many more.
